More Background Information on Ubiquinol and CoQ10 or COQ-10
|
CO-Q10 or its active form, Ubiquinol, are very popular supplements with a variety of potential uses. In a recent review it was found that not all CoQ10 and Ubiquinol brands provide their listed ingredients, and in fact a large variations in CoQ10 and ubiquinol from brand to brand can make it difficult to choose the right dosage and form.
Among several CoQ-10 and ubiquinol supplements the suggested daily servings ranged from 22 mg to 600 mg and some products were “solubilized” to deliver more than twice as much CoQ10 into the blood as basic capsules. In fact test results showed that one CoQ10 supplement provided only 87 per cent of its claimed ingredient, despite indicating that it was made under the FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
CoQ10 / ubiquinol are known to help in heart failure, migraines, and Parkinson's disease, and benefit many other conditions including hypertension and muscular dystrophy.
