Athlete's Foot

Athlete's foot, or tinea pedis, is a fungal infection that affects the feet, causing an irritatingrash between the toes and can affect surrounding areas of the foot. While it is most commonly isolated to the toes, athlete's foot can also affect the heels, palms of the hand, and between the fingers. If left untreated, it could spread to the nails, causing them to thicken, become discolored, or crumble. If left untreated athlete's foot could cause some very serious problems. Not only would the fungi continue to be present, but prolonged inflammation due to athlete's foot could cause more severe complications.
